Jeremiah Brown

Jeremiah Brown is a former NFL safety whose career spans professional football, keynote speaking, and leadership coaching. Brown played college football at Wagner College, where he was named one of the team's four captains. His professional football career included time with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Brown's trajectory shifted after a life-threatening brain injury from a concussion led to his retirement from the NFL. This experience resulted in a period of depression and suicidal thoughts, as he navigated the loss of his athletic identity. Brown transitioned to a role as an educator in the New York City Department of Education, serving K-12 students for 11 years and rediscovering his passion for helping others. This experience laid the groundwork for his subsequent work in leadership development and mental health advocacy.

Brown is a keynote speaker, TEDx speaker, and leadership development coach who leverages his background as a former NFL athlete to address topics such as mental health, resilience, and personal growth. He is the author of "LEAD LIKE A CHAMPION," a character development playbook focused on student success and leadership. Brown's experience as a director of athletics and school leader in culture and leadership development enables him to connect with K-12 educators, higher education professionals, and corporate teams.

Brown has been recognized for his contributions to mental health awareness, receiving the Mental Health Leader of the Year Award from the National Alliance on Mental Illness. He was also honored with the Speaker of the Year Award by Dr. Eric Thomas. Brown supports professionals and athletes in navigating leadership journeys through professional development in career and life skills.
