Jennifer Sciubba

Jennifer D. Sciubba is currently the President and CEO of the Population Reference Bureau and holds a distinguished position as a Senior Associate (Non-resident) at the Hess Center for New Frontiers. She is an internationally recognized authority in the field of demographic security, with a Ph.D. in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland. Sciubba has also been affiliated with the Center for Strategic and International Studies and has the experience of working for the US Department of Defense, focusing on demographic and environmental issues.

Sciubba has made noteworthy contributions to the field of political demography, with the authorship of "8 Billion and Counting: How Sex, Death, and Migration Shape Our World" and "The Future Faces of War: Population and National Security". Furthermore, she has edited "A Research Agenda for Political Demography" and contributed to reputable publications like The Atlantic, Harvard Business Review, and the Washington Post. She had the opportunity to share her insights on changing population demographics, migration, and the future of work in a TED Talk.

During her term as the Wilson Center Fellow, Sciubba took a leave from the Department of International Studies at Rhodes College. She is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and serves as the Vice chair of the Population Reference Bureau’s Board of Trustees. Recently, she authored commentaries on significant demographic changes, such as "What India Becoming the World's Most Populous Country Means" and "Population, Climate, and Conflict: New Data Point to Greater Challenges Ahead".
