Jennifer Arnold

Dr. Jennifer “Jen” Arnold is a board-certified neonatologist, physician executive, educator, and motivational speaker whose life and work are deeply shaped by personal experience. Born with a rare form of skeletal dysplasia, she endured more than 30 surgeries and many hospitalizations—first as a patient, then as a doctor—instilling in her a profound empathy for children and families facing complex health challenges. After earning her MD from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, she completed pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, followed by a fellowship in Neonatal‑Perinatal Medicine and a master’s in Medical Education at the University of Pittsburgh. She served as Medical Director of the Simulation Center at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and now leads and practices at Boston Children’s Hospital while holding a faculty position at Harvard Medical School. She launched a comprehensive Skeletal Dysplasia Program at Boston Children’s, bringing together multidisciplinary experts to offer state‑of‑the‑art care to children with rare bone disorders—a mission informed both by her clinical skill and her lived experience.

Beyond the hospital, Dr. Arnold is a passionate advocate: she contributes to Katie Couric Media, hosts a pediatric podcast, and became widely known through TLC’s "The Little Couple," where she and her husband Bill Klein shared their family’s journey to raise two children, Will and Zoey, amid adoption, disability, and everyday joys. A cancer survivor and New York Times bestselling author, Dr. Arnold continues to inspire and educate—bridging medicine, media, and advocacy to champion children’s health with dignity and innovation.
