Jeff Lowenfels

Jeff Lowenfels is a prominent figure in organic gardening and sustainability. A retired lawyer who became a full-time horticultural advocate, Lowenfels is known for his expertise in soil biology, regenerative agriculture, and organic gardening practices. He has been referred to as "America's Dirtiest Lawyer" and "Lord of the Roots," reflecting his deep involvement in the gardening community.

Lowenfels is the author of the "Teaming Series," a collection of four books considered essential reading for organic growers. The series includes "Teaming with Microbes: The Organic Gardener's Guide to the Soil Food Web," "Teaming with Nutrients: The Organic Gardener's Guide to Optimizing Plant Nutrition," "Teaming with Fungi: The Organic Grower's Guide to Mycorrhizae," and "Teaming with Bacteria: The Organic Gardener's Guide to Endophytic Bacteria and the Rhizophagy Cycle."
