
Jeanne Meister is a global HR consultant and a workplace visionary, advising clients to think differently about work, the worker, the workplace, and the workforce. Jeanne was named one of the Top 100 HR TECH Influencers by HR Executive Magazine since the inception of the list in 2019 and through to 2023. She is widely regarded as an Innovator in Human Resources and Learning and has decades of experience forming and managing Peer Networks composed of HR and Learning leaders in global 2,000 companies.
Meister is the author of three best-selling books, translated into multiple languages. These include; "Corporate Universities: Lessons in Building a World-Class Work Force," "The 2020 Workplace: How Innovative Companies Attract, Develop and Keep Tomorrow’s Employees Today," and "The Future Workplace Experience: 10 Rules for Mastering Disruption in Recruiting and Engaging Employees."
Meister has a deep background and experience in corporate learning. She wrote the first book on the topic of corporate universities, "Corporate Universities," and this book became an international best seller, detailing a blueprint for thousands of companies to re-invent their corporate training departments into a strategic, business aligned, corporate academy. This led to the launch of Corporate University Xchange, a think tank for forward looking heads of learning and development. Meister founded and was CEO and later sold this company. She testified before U.S. Congress on "The Power of the Internet for Learning: Moving From Promise to Practice," a report of the Web-Based Education Commission to The President and Congress of the United States.
Meister was awarded the Distinguished Contribution in Workplace Learning Award by the ATD, Association for Talent Development and the Colin Corder Award for Excellence in Workplace Learning by Learning & Performance Institute based in UK. Both awards are given to one executive each year honoring their contribution and body of work in the field of workplace learning.
She is a regular contributor to Forbes and Harvard Business Review (HBR). Her article published in HBR, "21 HR Jobs of the Future." is widely regarded as a forward look into the future of HR. Over the last two decades, she has written over 250 articles in such publications as: AACSB, American Journal of Distance Education, Chronicle of Higher Education, CLO Magazine, Financial Times, Fast Company, Forbes, Harvard Business Review, HBR Japan, Harvard Management Update, HR Executive Magazine, Journal of Business Strategy, SHRM HR Magazine, Thrive Global, TRAINING Magazine, People Matters, People & Strategy Journal, Tech Target, Wall Street Journal and Workforce Management.
Meister was previously Vice President of Market Development at Accenture. She is a member of Excelsior University Board of Trustees, where she is also on the Executive Committee. Meister is a graduate of University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a master’s in education from Boston University.
