Jasmine Jones

Jasmine R. Jones is a health technology entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of Myya, an online direct-to-consumer, insurance-billable post-mastectomy intimates brand. Inspired by her grandmother's experience with breast cancer and the challenges of finding supportive post-mastectomy bras and prostheses, Jones developed a solution to improve the post-mastectomy experience for women.

In partnership with Dr. Regina Hampton, a breast surgeon, Jones co-founded Cherry Blossom Intimates, a lingerie boutique and accredited medical center serving breast cancer survivors. Myya, incubated under Cherry Blossom Intimates, operates as an online boutique offering a customizable virtual fitting experience for breast cancer survivors, facilitated by certified mastectomy fitters and capable of direct insurance billing. Jones designed a collection of post-mastectomy bras and prostheses in inclusive sizes and skin tones, relaunching the business under the Myya name and transitioning to a remote model to serve survivors nationwide.

The COVID-19 pandemic prompted Myya to adapt its services, expanding access to high-quality post-mastectomy care for women across the country. Jones' work with Cherry Blossom Intimates led to a significant milestone when the Techstars-backed company closed a $2.25 million pre-seed funding round, placing her among the few Black women to secure over $1 million in venture capital. Her advocacy has extended to Capitol Hill, where she has campaigned for improved healthcare for breast cancer patients, specifically advocating for Medicare coverage of custom breast prosthetics.

Jones has received recognition as a Forbes Under 30 Listmaker in Retail and E-Commerce, a Fashion Institute of Technology award-winning lingerie designer, a Tory Burch fellow, a Washington Business Journal Under 40 recipient, and a Johns Hopkins Fellow. She has been honored at the She Is Women's Empowerment Summit for leadership and innovation in women's health.

Jones has spoken at conferences and business schools, including New York University Entrepreneurial Institute and Georgetown University MBA program. She mentors future female leaders through The North and Girls Who Start. As founder of The Global Literacy Initiative, she works to ensure children have access to local libraries and books at home. Her work has been featured in Forbes, Yahoo!, Washington Business Journal, Coveteur, Business Insider, District Fray, Washingtonian Magazine, and Fast Company.
