Jacqueline Garrick

Jacqueline Garrick, a veteran social work officer for the Army, has a distinguished history of service and advocacy both in the military and in civilian sectors. As a political appointee at the Pentagon, Garrick notably established personnel programs for Wounded Warriors and the Defense Suicide Prevention Office, an initiative that included the creation of a crisis hotline in Afghanistan. Her commitment to fair treatment and justice within the Defense Department was evident when she spearheaded investigations into diversity, inclusion, and NO FEAR Act violations. Her dedication to ethics also led her to blow the whistle on fraud, waste, and abuse within the Department, a brave act which resulted in personal retaliation.

Before her time at the Pentagon, Garrick had already distinguished herself in the field of Veterans' Affairs. She served as a worker for the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs, particularly in the Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs Subcommittee. Her work continued at The American Legion, where she served as Deputy Director for Health Care and collaborated with the Veterans' Disability Benefits Commission. For her dedication and work, Garrick received both the Lincoln Award and the Secretary of Defense Medal for Exceptional Public Service.

As the founder of Whistleblowers of America, Garrick continued her advocacy in a broader capacity. She also founded the FAR Group post-9/11, offering consulting services. A prolific writer, she authored numerous books and articles on health and resilience. Garrick holds an MSW from Temple University and a DProf from Middlesex University in London. She has appeared worldwide, sharing her expertise in health and resilience, making her a valuable source of knowledge and inspiration.
