J.J. Redick

Jonathan Clay "J. J." Redick is an American former professional basketball player. The all-time leading scorer at Duke University went on to play 15 seasons in the NBA, appearing in the 2009 NBA Finals as a member of the Orlando Magic.

In college, Redick was known for his excellent three-point and free throw shooting. He set ACC records during his career for most points and most career ACC tournament points, though his ACC career points record was subsequently broken by Tyler Hansbrough at UNC in 2009. He also set several other Duke records, including most points in a single season. Redick's jersey was retired by Duke on February 4, 2007.

After being selected 11th overall by the Magic in the 2006 NBA Draft, Redick played for seven seasons in Orlando, followed by a short spell with the Milwaukee Bucks, then four seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers. In 2017, he signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, and re-signed with them on a one-year deal the following year. In 2019, Redick signed a two-year deal with the New Orleans Pelicans. Redick played his final season with the Dallas Mavericks before announcing his retirement from the NBA prior to the 2021-2022 season.

Since his retirement, Redick has turned to podcasting, hosting a basketball and entertainment podcast entitled "The Old Man and the Three". Additionally, he joined ESPN as a basketball analyst in 2021.
