Isha Escribano

Isha Escribano, M.D., is a spiritual coach, meditation teacher, physician, musician, and writer whose multidisciplinary career encompasses holistic wellness, diversity and inclusion, and personal transformation. Escribano trained as a medical doctor at the University of Buenos Aires and completed advanced studies in psychotherapies and Ayurvedic medicine, including a residency at Hospital Italiano in Buenos Aires and an assistantship at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. She further pursued a fellowship on Buddhism and Hinduism at the University of Cambridge, grounding her spiritual practice in scholarly study. With more than three decades of immersion in Vedic sciences, Escribano has led workshops, conferences, and retreats for over 40,000 participants across Latin America, Europe, and the United States, offering instruction in yoga, mantras, meditation, breathing techniques, and ancient Indian philosophy.

As the founder of the Art of Living Foundation in Argentina, Escribano has worked with individuals and organizations on personal transformation, stress relief, and self-acceptance. Her keynote presentations have reached major companies and institutions, including Johnson & Johnson, HSBC, Mercado Libre, Banco Santander, DHL Global, and Facebook, where she addresses topics such as diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and holistic wellness. Escribano has served as an expert panelist at forums organized by business and ethics organizations and has participated as a speaker at TEDx events. She was named a member of the United Nations Refugee Agency's Ponchos Azules campaign and was recognized by the Argentine NGO Propuesta Mujer for her advocacy of individual freedoms.

Escribano is also active in the music and journalism fields. As a singer, guitarist, and composer, she has released eight albums, including the Indra Mantras series, among them "Everything is Love," a tribute to George Harrison whose title track was shared by the Beatles' official website and social media channels on the anniversary of Harrison's birth. She performed with Indra Mantras before an audience of 150,000 at the Planeta Medita event in Buenos Aires and has given concerts internationally. Escribano is a Titular Member of the Argentine Academy of Folklore and has published more than 500 articles, essays, travel reports, and interviews as a journalist, covering figures such as Deepak Chopra, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, and Nobel laureate Wangari Maathai.

Escribano's autobiography, "Solo es vida si es verdad" ("It's Only Life If It's True"), published by Penguin Random House, chronicles her journey of spiritual seeking, gender transition, and self-acceptance. A follow-up volume, "El camino de la aceptación" ("The Path of Acceptance"), was published by the same house. Her story has resonated with audiences worldwide, and her daily Instagram meditation sessions have drawn up to 9,000 participants at a time. Escribano's work integrates medical expertise, spiritual practice, artistic expression, and lived experience, contributing to the global wellness and diversity conversation.
