India Hicks Biography
Humanitarian, designer, and author India Hicks has led an unexpected life. Growing up as the daughter of decorator David Hicks and goddaughter of King Charles, she comes from both British and design royalty. Hicks lives on a small island in the Caribbean where she raised her 5 children and now works on the fringes of fashion and the front lines of disaster relief.
Hicks has often made bold life choices, which have led to a multi-faceted, unexpected journey. She has authored four design books, been an on-air personality for networks ranging from Bravo to the BBC and has had her hand in the design world for over two decades - from hotels to home collections.
Hicks is an executive board member for Global Empowerment Mission, a disaster relief agency where she joins teams on the ground in the aftermath of both natural and man made disasters, most significantly traveling to Ukraine’s front lines every few months since the invasion.
Hicks is also a patron for The King’s Trust, raising awareness and funding to help young women who face disadvantage and adversity transform their lives.
