Ida Byrd-Hill

Ida Byrd-Hill, MBA, catapulted from a roach-infested Flint housing project to CEO of Automation Workz, a behavior insights firm that engineers corporate revenue and profits increases through culture audits, executive coaching and training of 17,000+ front-liners in AI/machine learning, cybersecurity, data analytics, IoT and network engineering. She is best known for increasing the revenue of Dr. Bronner’s, the personal care product company, 45% over three years. Prior to her death, Byrd-Hill's daughter, Karen Hill, requested her mother share her gift -- the ability to explain any complicated subject to a 5th grader -- with the world.

Byrd-Hill is a graduate of both the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor with a BA, Economics and Jack Welch Management Institute with an MBA Strategy/ People Management. She has 30 years of business experience in strategy, business development/sales, wealth management, people management/HR, executive search, government relations, diversity, inclusion, and equity, data analysis, and programmer.

Byrd-Hill is a member of the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce CEO Talent Council, SHRM, Society of Automotive Analysts and Holon IQ/ BCG AI & Digital Skills Leadership Council.

She is the author of nine books, including "Invisible Talent Market: Solving the Talent Shortage Without Outsourcing and Visas," and the newly released, "Culture Re-Wired: Unleash Your Inner AI CEO." In her spare time, Byrd-Hill lost 58 pounds, nurturing her addiction to pilates, video games and philosophical debates with her son and CTO, Kevin Hill.
