Hélène Huby

Hélène Huby is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Exploration Company, one of Europe’s most dynamic space technology companies dedicated to democratizing access to space. Under her leadership, the company has grown rapidly since its founding in 2021, developing reusable spacecraft and capsules designed to serve cargo transport, human missions, and sustainable space infrastructure projects around Earth and the Moon.

A French rocket scientist and seasoned aerospace executive, Huby previously held strategic and operational roles at Airbus Defence and Space and ArianeGroup, where she led innovation initiatives and major European space programs, including contributions to the Orion spacecraft’s service module. Her industry experience spans innovation leadership, program management, and strategy, equipping her to steer cutting‑edge projects at the intersection of technology, exploration, and global cooperation.

In addition to her role at The Exploration Company, Huby is the Founder and Chair of Urania Ventures, a deep tech investment firm, and the Founder and Chair of The Karman Project, a non‑profit foundation fostering independent dialogue and cooperation among space leaders. She holds advanced degrees from École normale supérieure, Sciences Po Paris, and the École nationale d’administration, and is widely recognized for her thought leadership in aerospace innovation.
