Hon Pak MD Chief Medical Officer Samsung Electronics America. As Chief Medical Officer Hon Pak M.D leads the US Digital Health Strategy and Team. His focus is to leverage Samsung’s digital footprint across multiple devices and its strength in consumer experience to transform this consumer experience into patient engagement to improve outcomes.
Prior to joining Samsung Dr. Pak served as Chief Medical Officer for 3M HIS where he led the clinical economics research group which developed content that is being used in both payment and measuring outcomes for healthcare systems across the globe. He has experience in mobile health telemedicine and health IT in various capacities including as a researcher board member CEO and CMO.
He served in the US military for 26 years and he was the Army’s first Chief Medical Information Officer and physician Chief Information Officer for the U.S. Army Medical Department (AMEDD). He is a past board member and past president of the American Telemedicine Association and he currently serves on the editorial board for Telemedicine and eHealth and on the Consumer Technology Association Health Board.
