Hayley Erbert

Hayley Erbert is a professional dancer, choreographer, and television personality known for her work in competitive and theatrical dance. Trained in multiple dance styles, Erbert specializes in contemporary dance and has earned national titles and awards in the field. While still in high school, Erbert competed in Season 10 of FOX's "So You Think You Can Dance," advancing to the Top 3 Females, which marked her emergence on the national stage and led to a professional career in dance.

Following her appearance on "So You Think You Can Dance," Erbert performed with artists including Pitbull, Carrie Underwood, and Paula Abdul. She joined Derek and Julianne Hough for their "Move Live on Tour," which led to her role as a troupe member on "Dancing with the Stars." Erbert appeared in six seasons of "Dancing with the Stars" as a troupe dancer and participated in three "Dancing with the Stars: Live!" North American tours. Her credits also include performances in Disney specials, "The Disney Family Singalong," and the Oscars, where she danced alongside Derek Hough. Erbert's versatility spans contemporary, ballroom, and theatrical dance, establishing her as a multifaceted artist in the dance industry.

Erbert experienced a significant medical crisis after a tour performance of the "Derek Hough: Symphony of Dance" tour in Washington, D.C., where she was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a ruptured blood vessel and underwent emergency surgery. She later had a cranioplasty procedure to replace a portion of her skull. Despite medical concerns about her ability to return to dance, Erbert resumed performing with Derek Hough on the "Symphony of Dance" tour and appeared on "Dancing with the Stars," performing to "Beautiful Things" by Benson Boone during Dedication Night.

Erbert's recovery and return to dance have been documented in a film that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. She has spoken publicly about her health journey and recovery, sharing her experiences with audiences and aspiring performers. Erbert continues to be recognized for her contributions to contemporary dance, choreography, and live performance.
