Harry Miller

Harry Miller is an advocate who is self-described as “just a guy trying to help.” He started his advocacy journey by helping the people of Nicaragua. He has served as a board member at Mission 4 Nicaragua, a nonprofit organization that operates a school and distributes food and medicine to less fortunate families in Los Brasiles. Miller has also made nearly a dozen trips to Nicaragua, and he continue to raise money for Mission 4 Nicaragua.

Miller is a graduate of The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and a former collegiate football player. Before he retired from football in the spring of 2022, he played in 22 games during his first three seasons with the Buckeyes, and he started seven games at left guard for the Big Ten and Sugar Bowl champion Buckeyes in 2020. While playing football, Miller made it a point to use his platform to help others. He was named one of 22 members of the 2021 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. He earned the honor for is dedication to community service and the positive impact he has made on the lives of others.

In February 2023, Miller was invited to attend President Biden’s State of the Union Address as a special guest. Miller has subsequently participated in discussions with U.S. Senators and other dignitaries about the current state of mental health in America.

In an effort to further break the stigma surrounding mental illness, Miller started Don’t Make it Weird, DMIW.org.

Miller is also an author and frequent speaker. He recently completed his first TED Talk, and is currently working on a book about his time as a college athlete.
