HAIM

Haim is an American pop-rock band based in Los Angeles, composed of sisters Este Haim (bass guitar and vocals), Danielle Haim (lead vocals, guitar, and drums), and Alana Haim (guitars, keyboards, and vocals). The sisters grew up in a musical family and began performing at a young age in the cover band Rockinhaim, led by their parents, Moti and Donna Haim. As they developed their musical interests, the sisters incorporated pop and contemporary R&B influences into their sound and formed their own band. Danielle Haim gained experience as a touring guitarist with Jenny Lewis and Julian Casablancas before Haim became a full-time project.

Haim released the EP "Forever" and gained recognition through performances at South by Southwest and supporting slots for Mumford & Sons and Florence & The Machine. Their debut studio album, "Days Are Gone," reached number one on the UK Albums Chart and sold more than 300,000 copies in the United Kingdom. Haim topped the BBC Sound of 2013 poll and won Best International Act at the NME Awards. The group received a nomination for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards. Their second album, "Something to Tell You," featured the single "Want You Back" and further established their presence in the pop-rock and alternative music scenes.

The third album, "Women in Music Pt. III," marked a milestone as Haim became the first all-female rock group to be nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards. The group also received a nomination for Best Rock Performance for "The Steps." Haim collaborated with Taylor Swift on the track "No Body, No Crime" from Swift's album "Evermore," and supported Swift on select dates of The 1989 World Tour.

The sisters have expanded their creative work beyond music. Alana Haim starred in the film "Licorice Pizza," Este Haim served as a music consultant for the second season of HBO's "The White Lotus," and Danielle Haim has collaborated with artists including Bon Iver. The band's fourth studio album, "I Quit," achieved their highest position on the US Top Albums Sales chart and received favorable reviews from critics. An expanded version of the album included additional tracks, such as "Tie You Down," a collaboration with Bon Iver featuring Danielle Haim and Justin Vernon.

With multiple studio albums, Grammy nominations, and chart-topping records, Haim is recognized as a dynamic presence in contemporary rock and pop music. The band's studio recordings showcase a blend of pop and rock influences, while their live performances emphasize a more rock-oriented sound. Haim's progression from performing in a family cover band to headlining international tours highlights their musical evolution and collaborative approach within the music industry.
