Gianluca Russo is a fashion and culture writer who specializes on the topic of body diversity. His NYLON column “Plus Us” explores the many ways in which larger-bodied individuals are discriminated against in society today. Russo’s work has also appeared in GQ, Glamour, InStyle, Teen Vogue, and more.
Russo is the co-founder of The Power of Plus, a size-inclusive digital community aimed at promoting love, respect, and style for every BODY. His debut nonfiction book, "The Power of Plus: Inside Fashion's Size-Inclusivity Revolution," chronicles the evolution of plus-size fashion from the 1990s to today.
Russo, a graduate of SUNY Albany where he earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism, was named to Vogue Business' List of 100 Innovators Changing the Future of Fashion in 2022 and to Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2024.
