Gary Miliefsky

Gary Miliefsky is a cybersecurity expert, author, inventor, and entrepreneur with a career focused on technology and national security. Miliefsky is the founder of several cybersecurity companies, including Netwave, QuickBuy, NetClarity, and SnoopWall. SnoopWall develops counter-intelligence technology and consumer software to secure personal data on mobile devices, while also supporting banks and government agencies in network security. Miliefsky has served as founder and inventor for technologies and corporations that have been sold or licensed to Hexis Cyber, WatchGuard, Intel/McAfee, IBM, Computer Associates, and BlackBox Corporation.

Miliefsky has contributed to national cybersecurity policy as a founding member of the US Department of Homeland Security, the National Information Security Group, and the OVAL advisory board of MITRE, which oversees the CVE Program. He has assisted the National Infrastructure Advisory Council within the Department of Homeland Security in developing The National Strategy to Secure Cyberspace and has contributed to the Center for the Study of Counter-Terrorism and Cyber Crime at Norwich University. Miliefsky also played a role in enhancing the original FTP protocol (RFC959) through DARPA-funded research. He is a member of ISC2.org and holds the CISSP certification.
