Expedition Entity

"Expedition Entity" is a PARAFlixx Original paranormal investigation series created by Dan Norvell and Larry Eissler III. Both Norvell and Eissler are experienced paranormal investigators who sought to redefine the standards of paranormal television. After years of working together, they became dissatisfied with the prevalence of staged evidence and unnecessary drama in the genre. Their response was to develop a show featuring unembellished investigation footage, free from suspenseful music and dramatic stock visuals, resulting in the creation of "Expedition Entity."

Dan Norvell brings extensive real-world experience to the series. He served as a firefighter for 16 years, including six years as a paramedic, before retiring as a lieutenant. Norvell later became a sheriff's deputy in corrections, serving the state of Illinois for 17 years. His interest in the paranormal began in 1996 after a childhood encounter, leading him to head two paranormal teams and investigate hundreds of locations. As series creator, Norvell also serves as executive producer, lead investigator, and lead cast member. Larry Eissler III, the series director, has a background as a 74D CBRNE Specialist in the United States Army and deployed to Afghanistan. Eissler is also a photographer and author of paranormal non-fiction.

"Expedition Entity" follows Norvell and Eissler as they investigate lesser-known haunted locations in the American Midwest, using a combination of traditional investigation methods and modern technology. The series aims to highlight historic buildings, battlefields, and significant events that might otherwise be overlooked. Each episode often features location owners or individuals with firsthand paranormal experiences joining the investigation.

Norvell and Eissler have also co-authored two books, "Ghosts of the Black Hawk War" and "Afterlife: Anthology," published through Haunted Road Media. Their literary work emphasizes historical research and authentic paranormal investigation. The series has received recognition in the independent film community, including a Silver Telly Award for Best Unscripted Online Series and multiple wins at IMDB-qualifying film festivals such as Chicago Cinema Awards, L.A. Sci-Fi & Horror Festival, and New York Neorealism Film Awards. "Expedition Entity" has accumulated 27 film festival wins and 15 nominations in categories including Best Web Series, Best Editing, Best Educational Film, and Best First Time Director. The series was also featured as the national cover story for American Paranormal Magazine. Through their work, Norvell and Eissler have positioned "Expedition Entity" as a reference point for integrity and historical research in paranormal entertainment.
