Esther Ku

Esther Ku is a Korean-American stand-up comedian, actress, and television personality known for her work in American comedy. Early in her career, Ku moved to Boston to begin performing at local comedy clubs and stages, then relocated to New York City to pursue stand-up full time. She developed her act at venues such as Carolines, Stand-Up NY, and Broadway, as well as in the urban comedy circuit in Brooklyn, Harlem, and Queens. Ku was selected as one of the top 10 comedians for the NBC Stand-up for Diversity Showcase in New York City.

Ku was the only female comedian from New York City to advance to the Las Vegas semi-finals of NBC's "Last Comic Standing," becoming one of the top 10 finalists in Hollywood. She made her radio debut on the Howard Stern Show as a finalist on The Hottest Funniest Chick Contest. Ku has performed at the Boston International Comedy Festival and the New York Underground Comedy Festival. She has sold out the Apollo Theater and is a member of the Friars Club.

Ku was a regular cast member on MTV's "Girl Code" for three seasons and made guest appearances on MTV2's "Wild 'N Out" with Nick Cannon. She played a receptionist in "The Jack and Triumph Show" on Adult Swim and has recorded several voices for "Family Guy" on Fox. Ku has appeared on "The Jim Gaffigan Show," "@Midnight," "Boy Band," and "The Fiddling Horse."

Ku hosted the AVN Awards Show for Showtime alongside Cardi B, marking the first all-female AVN host lineup. She also hosted the Cynthia Rowley Fashion Show for New York Fashion Week at Sony Hall. Ku has been a guest on "The Joe Rogan Experience," "The Craig Ferguson Show," and "The Jenny McCarthy Show." She has released a comedy music album, "Oldies Parodies," on iTunes.

Ku's TikTok series "I Grew Up In A Cult" has garnered over 1 million views, in which she discusses her upbringing. She is the host of the podcast "Ku and the Gang," which has reached the top 10 comedy podcasts on iTunes. As an internationally touring performer, Ku engages audiences with her culturally focused stand-up comedy and her ability to draw on personal experiences in her material.
