Eric Ingram

Eric Ingram is a space entrepreneur, disability rights advocate, and motivational speaker whose career focuses on the intersection of aerospace technology and inclusive design. Ingram founded Scout Space, where he developed innovations in orbital safety and technologies to enhance space domain awareness.

His engineering background includes hands-on experience across multiple sectors of the space industry. Ingram served as an aerospace engineer for the Licensing and Evaluation Division of the Federal Aviation Administration's Office of Commercial Space Transportation and previously worked as an engineer for Deep Space Industries, where he designed cubesat subsystems for testbed missions.

As a founder, physicist, accessibility advocate, and space industry strategist, Ingram built an eight-figure startup and navigated the complexities of aerospace innovation and policy. After six years of leadership at Scout Space—including five as CEO and one as chief strategy officer—he transitioned the company to a new leadership team, creating a self-sustaining enterprise. Ingram continues to serve as a board member and advisor, supporting Scout Space's mission from a strategic perspective.

Among his achievements, Ingram received the American Astronautical Society's Entrepreneurship Award, which recognizes the introduction of new technologies and production methods into the market. He was honored for starting and managing Scout Space and deploying the first commercial space-based situational awareness system from concept to orbit in under nine months.

Ingram is also an advocate for making space accessible to people with disabilities. He is a leader in AstroAccess, a mission dedicated to advancing disability inclusion in space exploration, and has participated in its parabolic flight programs, which test solutions for people with mobility, hearing, and visual impairments in microgravity environments. Ingram serves on the board of directors for the Space Frontier Foundation and is involved with 2GI, extending his influence across the space policy and advocacy landscape.

Outside the space industry, Ingram served as president of the United States Wheelchair Rugby Association, leading the organization to its largest budget surplus in its history. He has competed in wheelchair rugby for more than 15 years, both domestically and internationally with the U.S. Developmental team. Ingram has shared insights on the future of spaceflight on national television, including an appearance on "Good Morning America."

Through Ingram Insights, his consulting and speaking platform, Ingram shares his leadership experiences and work in breaking down barriers for the disabled community in space exploration.
