Eric Bellinger

Eric Bellinger is a Grammy Award-winning R&B singer, songwriter, and producer known for his significant contributions to contemporary R&B and hip-hop music. The grandson of Jackson 5 songwriter Bobby Day, Bellinger draws from a deep musical heritage that has influenced his approach to melody and storytelling. Opting to pursue music over a football scholarship to the University of Southern California, Bellinger has accumulated more than 1.5 billion streams worldwide.

Bellinger began his career as a songwriter with The Writing Camp, earning credits for prominent artists in pop and R&B. His co-writing work includes "Lemme See" by Usher, which received an ASCAP Award for R&B/Hip-Hop Song, as well as "New Flame" and "Right Here" by Justin Bieber. Bellinger's contributions to Chris Brown's album "F.A.M.E." earned him a Grammy Award for Best R&B Album, and he has received multiple Grammy nominations as a songwriter, including Best R&B Song for "New Flame" from Brown's album "X." Collaborations with The Game led to writing and featuring credits on "The Documentary 2" and a publishing deal that further established his presence in the music industry.

Transitioning to a solo career, Bellinger released his debut studio album "The Rebirth," which introduced him as a solo artist. His single "I Don't Want Her" featuring Problem reached the top 25 on digital charts and expanded his international audience. Subsequent projects include the "Cuffing Season" series and the "Eric B for President: Term 1" and "Term 2" EPs, which produced RIAA Gold-certified singles "G.O.A.T." and "Drive By." Bellinger co-founded the independent label YFS (Your Favorite Song), and his third studio album, "Eazy Call," marked his first appearance on the Billboard 200.

Bellinger's musical evolution continued with "New Light," earning him a Grammy nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album. He performed the theme song for the Sesame Street spinoff series "Mecha Builders" and explored global R&B influences in "It'll All Make Sense Later" and its sequel "It All Makes Sense." Bellinger has released music under Tamla/Motown Records, further expanding his reach in the R&B and hip-hop genres.

Outside of music production and performance, Bellinger advocates for mental health awareness, Black artistry, and community development. He mentors emerging talent through the Recording Academy's Los Angeles Chapter NEXT program and has performed at major festivals such as One Musicfest and R&B Only Fest. Bellinger completed a global "Around The World Tour" and received the Global Icon Award at Compton Fest, reflecting his ongoing impact on the R&B music landscape.
