Emmitt Smith

Emmitt Smith is a former professional football running back who played in the National Football League for 15 seasons, primarily with the Dallas Cowboys. Smith is the league's all-time leading rusher and is recognized as one of the top running backs in NFL history. He played three years at the University of Florida, setting 58 school records before being selected in the first round of the NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. Smith was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and, in his second season, ran for 1,563 yards to capture the first of his four NFL rushing titles.

Smith is the only running back to win a Super Bowl championship, the NFL Most Valuable Player award, the NFL rushing crown, and the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player award in the same season. His career highs include 1,773 rushing yards, 25 rushing touchdowns, and 62 receptions in a single season. Smith was the first player in NFL history to rush for over 1,000 yards in 11 consecutive seasons and surpassed Walter Payton's all-time leading rushing record to become the NFL's all-time leading rusher. He is also one of only two non-kickers in NFL history to score more than 1,000 career points, alongside Jerry Rice. Smith's career includes three Super Bowl championship rings, induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and selection to the NFL 100 All-Time Team.

After retiring from professional football, Smith transitioned into sports media, serving as a football analyst for ESPN and NFL Network, and appearing as a guest college football analyst during FOX's BCS National Championship pre-game coverage. He expanded his television presence by winning the third season of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars." Smith is also the author of the book "Game On," where he outlines the principles that contributed to his success.

Smith has established himself as an entrepreneur, running companies in real estate, construction, and technology. He is a co-owner of a NASCAR team, partnering with Jesse Iwuji Motorsports, with a focus on STEM education for lower-income communities and diversity and inclusion initiatives in motorsports. Smith is active in charitable outreach, founding Pat & Emmitt Smith Charities to provide educational opportunities to underserved youth. As a motivational speaker, Smith addresses topics such as adapting to change, overcoming obstacles, achieving goals, maintaining success, leadership, and teamwork.
