Elliot Page

Elliot Page is a Canadian actor, producer, and activist with a career spanning more than two decades in film and television. Page began his career at age 10 on the award-winning television series "Pit Pony," earning a Gemini nomination and a Young Artist Award nomination. As the lead in David Slade's "Hard Candy," which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, Page received critical recognition. He also gained early attention for portraying Kitty Pryde in "X-Men: The Last Stand."

Page's breakout role came in Jason Reitman's comedy "Juno," about a teenager navigating an unexpected pregnancy. For this performance, Page received Academy Award, BAFTA, Golden Globe, and SAG nominations, and won the Independent Spirit Award. He became the fourth-youngest nominee for the Academy Award for Best Actress at the time. Subsequent leading roles included Drew Barrymore's directorial debut, the roller-derby comedy-drama "Whip It," and Christopher Nolan's psychological thriller "Inception." Over his career, Page has received numerous award nominations for roles across Canadian and American film and television, winning more than 30.

Page starred in two Netflix original series: "The Umbrella Academy," about a group of superheroes who reunite after their adoptive father dies, and "Tales of the City," which follows a woman returning to San Francisco to confront her past. Netflix adapted "The Umbrella Academy" to reflect Page's transition, with his character's name changing from Vanya to Viktor. Page also hosted the documentary series "Gaycation" alongside Ian Daniel, earning two Primetime Emmy Award nominations. Other notable roles include appearances in the X-Men film franchise and Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey."

Page publicly came out as a trans man and took the name Elliot, becoming the first openly transgender man to appear on the cover of Time Magazine. He published "Pageboy: A Memoir," which debuted at the top of The New York Times best-seller list for nonfiction. Page is recognized for his advocacy for LGBTQ rights and against discrimination, receiving the Human Rights Campaign Vanguard Award for his work. Through his contributions to film, television, and activism, Page is known as a significant voice in the entertainment industry and LGBTQ advocacy.
