Elle King

Elle King is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose sound draws from country, rock, blues, and soul. King uses her mother's surname to distinguish her career and identity from her father's, emphasizing her individuality as an artist. She is a versatile musician, performing vocals and playing instruments including banjo, guitar, bass, drums, piano, mandolin, and dulcimer.

King released her debut EP, "The Elle King EP," on RCA; one track from that EP, "Playing for Keeps," served as the theme song for VH1's "Mob Wives Chicago." Her debut album, "Love Stuff," introduced a blend of retro-soul and blues-rock, highlighted by the single "Ex's & Oh's," which topped the Billboard Rock chart and reached the Top Ten on the Hot 100. "Ex's & Oh's" earned two Grammy Award nominations for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song.

Following this success, King expanded her musical collaborations, working with artists such as Dierks Bentley and Wiz Khalifa. She teamed up with Bentley for the song "Different for Girls," which they performed at the CMA Awards, earning the award for Musical Event of the Year. King released her second studio album, "Shake the Spirit," and achieved a platinum-selling single with "Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home)," a duet with Miranda Lambert that became a crossover hit, charting on the Hot 100, Rock, and Billboard Country charts.

King's third studio album, "Come Get Your Wife," was released by RCA Records. She broke a 30-year record for women on the radio charts with the lead single "Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home)" and has collaborated with artists including Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, and Ashley McBryde. After relocating to Nashville, King has focused on her country music crossover career. She is a four-time Grammy Award nominee in both rock and country categories and has received honors from the Country Music Association Awards and the Academy of Country Music Awards.

King has been open about her personal challenges, including mental health and substance abuse, with themes of resilience and self-care present in her music. Known for high-energy live shows, King has toured extensively, performing at major festivals such as Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo. She has headlined multiple tours and opened for artists including Melissa Etheridge, Chris Stapleton, Joan Jett, Heart, Miranda Lambert, the Chicks, Maroon 5, and Ed Sheeran.
