Elizabeth Marvel is an actress whose career spans more than three decades across theater, film, and television. A graduate of Juilliard School, Marvel began her professional acting career with a role as Isabella in "Measure for Measure" at Stratford Festival in Canada. She has established herself as a versatile performer in the entertainment industry, working in both classical and contemporary productions.

Since the early 1990s, she has appeared in a wide range of off-Broadway productions, earning multiple Obie Awards for performances in "Thérèse Raquin," "Misalliance," "A Streetcar Named Desire," and "Hedda Gabler." Marvel portrayed President Elizabeth Keane on Showtime's drama series "Homeland," appearing across multiple seasons. She has also recurred as defense attorney Rita Calhoun on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," played the Major in "Manifest," and appeared in recurring roles in "Fargo" and "Unbelievable."

Marvel's film credits include appearances in "Burn After Reading," "Synecdoche, New York," "True Grit" (as the adult Mattie Ross), "Lincoln," and "The Meyerowitz Stories."
