Eleanor Guerrero

Eleanor J. Guerrero, J.D., is a former prosecutor in two jurisdictions with nearly 30 years of legal experience across multiple states including New York, New Jersey, Florida and Colorado. She has emerged as a dynamic and motivating speaker, specializing in a diverse array of topics such as leadership, mentoring, juvenile crime prevention, domestic violence and cultural challenges.

Guerrero delivers engaging talks tailored for various audiences with whom she has engaged, including federal and state law enforcement, attorneys, teachers, corporate professionals to university students and social workers. She has created events such as Montana’s first National Tribal Judges Conference and has spoken at Montana State University’s conference on race. She has been a national trainer for over 15 years.

Guerrero has a dynamic way of speaking interlaced with humor and stories of her experience that engages her audience and often has them interacting. A federally recognized authority on Full Faith and Credit laws, she has taught federal, tribal and state law enforcement extensively on advanced topics of domestic violence, child abuse and sexual assault. A former domestic violence prosecutor (NJ) and Tribal Prosecutor (CO), she authored key materials on these subjects including a training manual and officer handbook published by the Montana Department of Justice. Her efforts evolved, focusing on prevention-reaching schools, universities and international forums.

Guerrero has spoken at over 100 training events often as keynote speaker, being a popular speaker at federal, Tribal, state and professional events, addressing advocates, teachers, attorneys and law enforcement as well as corporate professionals on leadership. Her trainings have been certified for CLE and IPA credits.
She is the founder of the nonprofit Native American Children's Association (NACA), which reaches its 20th year in 2026, providing kids in need with new coats and food.

Despite seeing many aspects of grim reality in her extensive experience, Guerrero remains strongly optimistic believing that leaders can be created at any age and that most young people can be reached with respect and mutual effort. Her talks are strong, positive and relatable with practical advice and inspiration. She is a strong motivating speaker.
