Edwin Edebiri

Edwin Edebiri is the founder and Chief Happiness Officer of the Happy Neighborhood Project and Happreneurs™. A TEDx speaker, Edebiri has a purpose: to inspire and encourage others to their full potential and have a positive impact on the world through service and love.

He is a pioneer of happiness as a skill. He teaches a happiness class to high school and college students and also conducts happiness at work sessions. He is a TEDx speaker and workshop leader with over 30 years of experience. A dynamo of humor and enthusiasm, Edebiri stands at the forefront of entrepreneurial spirit.

Edebiri has done an extensive research on the subject of happiness, having interviewed more than 1,000 people in 2009. Based on their answers, he has come up with a list of 10 concrete things people can do to become happier. He is the inspiration behind the Global Happiness Summit.

He has been featured on PBS, had his work recognized at the United Nations, and is the author of "Happiness As A Learnable Skill."

Edebiri holds an MBA with honors from Embry Riddle Aeronautics University in Daytona Beach. He serves on the board of various profit and nonprofit organizations including the Junior Achievement of Sacramento. When not busy networking or spreading happiness, he enjoys his hobby as a pilot.
