Dr. Omar Simpson

Dr. Omar Simpson is a student success scholar, public speaker, writer, and entrepreneur specializing in educational equity, personal branding, and leadership development. Simpson has worked with individuals, businesses, organizations, and educational institutions to promote the importance of personal branding, lifelong learning, and equitable practices in education and business. He provides actionable strategies to support student achievement and organizational growth.

Simpson has taught education courses at Johns Hopkins University and at UNC-Chapel Hill, focusing on approaches that encourage educators to rethink and reconceptualize the educational experience. He is the author of three books, including "For the Love of Education: The Power of an Awakened Mind," which has achieved international sales. Simpson has delivered more than 1,000 speeches nationwide on topics such as the transition from high school to college, leadership through a cultural lens, purpose-driven service, supporting men of color in higher education, personal branding, and entrepreneurship.

As the founder and chairman of the Omar Simpson Foundation, Simpson leads a global nonprofit dedicated to eliminating inequity in education. The foundation hosts overnight Educational Academies at universities, pays past-due lunch accounts for lower-income families, manages high school mentoring programs, and provides emergency funding for college students facing adverse circumstances. Simpson has also contributed to disaster relief initiatives, supported low-income families worldwide, and developed leadership programs for youth.

In addition to his philanthropic work, Simpson serves as CEO of O. Simpson Enterprises and previously led HG3 Digital Media, where he operated seven digital magazines. He is the founder and lead facilitator of the "Success is a Lifestyle" team, an international group supporting youth achievement. Simpson is a strong advocate for mentorship, personally guiding hundreds of high school and college students and contributing to the advancement of educational leadership and student success.
