Michael Gervais is a performance psychologist, author, and an expert on the psychology that underlies mastery. Throughout his career, Gervais has pursued the question of whether there’s a common thread in how the world’s most extraordinary thinkers and doers use their minds to push the boundaries of human potential. His clients include the Seattle Seahawks, world-record holders, Olympians, artists and musicians, sport MVPs, and Fortune 25 CEOs.
Gervais is the co-founder of Compete to Create, a digital platform business that works with Fortune 500 companies and leaders using high-performance mindset training, and the host of “Finding Mastery,” a podcast that interviews those who excel in rugged and pressure-packed environments.
Gervais co-authored his book, "The First Rule of Mastery: Stop Worrying about What People Think of You," with Super Bowl-winning NFL Coach Pete Carroll in which they explore some of the key tools and principles they use in their work with the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks.
