Dr. Lisa Palmer

Dr. Lisa C. Palmer, PhD, LMFT, CHT, is a psychotherapist, media personality, and entrepreneur whose career spans clinical mental health and public discourse. Palmer is the founder of The Renew Center of Florida, known for its reality-based approach to mental health treatment. The center has been recognized by Newsmax as a top PTSD treatment facility. Palmer has worked with a range of clients, including celebrities, athletes, and entrepreneurs, with a focus on trauma, eating disorders, and addiction. She is certified in the Rapid Reduction Technique for trauma.

Before her clinical career, Palmer built a foundation in media and public service. Initially a pre-medical student, she later competed at Miss USA on CBS as a national delegate, which led to early work in public-facing leadership and communication. Palmer graduated from New York University with a dual degree in journalism and sociology, earned a master's degree in marriage and family therapy, and completed a doctorate at Nova Southeastern University. Her professional experience includes work as a television news reporter and service as a White House intern in the Radio Division of the Press Secretary's Office, where she gained insight into narrative, public discourse, and the psychological effects of media. Palmer also founded the Women's Institute for Sensible Eating (WISE) eating disorder program, serving as clinical director.
