Dr. Kevin M. Jones

Dr. Kevin M. Jones is a respected scholar, author and educational leader whose work spans K-12 and higher education, with a focus on character formation, culturally responsive pedagogy, educational leadership and innovation in teaching and learning. With over two decades of experience in education, Dr. Jones is widely recognized for his leadership in teacher preparation, academic innovation and faith-informed education.

Currently, Dr. Jones serves as Dean and Assistant Professor in the School of Education and Social Work at Cedarville University, where he provides strategic oversight for academic programs, faculty governance and outcomes assessment. Prior to this, he was Chair of the School of Education and Human Development at Kentucky State University, where he led nine distinct programs, guided faculty development and drove initiatives in curriculum effectiveness and assessment.

Dr. Jones holds a Doctor of Education in Leadership Education from Spalding University, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education, both from the University of Kentucky. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Kentucky State University.

As an active presenter and workshop leader, Dr. Jones frequently keynotes and speaks at national conferences and provides professional development for K-12 educators, university students and leaders, healthcare organizations and faith-based institutions. His recent sessions and presentations include “Leadership and Character” – Norton Healthcare, “Restorative Practices in Urban Schools” – Jefferson County Public Schools, “Communicating with Clarity and Compassion” – Montgomery Prep Academy, “The Life of Jesse Owens” – Cedarville University and “Informal Pedagogy” – University of Illinois.

His in-depth motivational and instructional workshops cover leadership, culturally responsive teaching, active learning strategies and engagement strategies for diverse learners and paraprofessionals. Dr. Jones is a motivator of college students and his lectures on character and hard work inspire students to action.
