Dr Rob Huizenga

Dr. Rob Huizenga is a physician, author, and media personality best known as Dr. H on NBC’s "The Biggest Loser." He is the former team doctor for the L.A. Raiders and a past President of the NFL Physicians Society. Huizenga chronicled his experiences with professional football in "You’re OK, It’s Just a Bruise: A Doctor's Sideline Secrets About Pro-Football’s Most Outrageous Team," a book that sparked national debate on anabolic steroids and inspired Oliver Stone’s "Any Given Sunday."

He is also the author of "Where Did All the Fat Go? The WOW Prescription to Reach Your Ideal Weight and Stay There," which combines cutting-edge nutrition, exercise, psychology, and group dynamics based on research with overweight professional athletes and NBC’s Biggest Loser contestants.

A graduate of the University of Michigan and Harvard Medical School, Huizenga served as Chief Medical Resident at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center while also acting as a national medical correspondent for FOX’s "BreakAway." He has appeared as a health expert on CBS, NBC, ABC, Nightline, and Larry King Live, and has served as a medical expert witness in high-profile legal cases, including O.J. Simpson and anabolic steroid trials.

In recent years, Huizenga has collaborated with Charlie Sheen to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and is currently authoring a new book, Sex, Lies and STDs, addressing sexual health risks and public awareness.
