Diedrich Bader

Karl Diedrich Bader is a versatile actor and comedian celebrated for both his live-action and voice-acting work. Raised partly in Paris, an impromptu imitation of Charlie Chaplin at age four revealed his natural performing flair. After returning to the U.S., he attended T.C. Williams High School and honed his craft at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.

Bader first gained wide recognition as Oswald Lee Harvey on "The Drew Carey Show," a role he played for nine seasons and later described as a pivotal opportunity that influenced how he approaches his career and life. He also starred on "American Housewife" and recurred on the hit HBO series "Veep." His film highlights include "The Beverly Hillbillies," "Office Space," "EuroTrip," "Miss Congeniality 2" and "Napoleon Dynamite." Meanwhile, his distinctive voice has brought to life characters in the animated series "Harley Quinn," "Rick and Morty," "Wacky Races," and "Big Hero 6: The Series," among others.

Beyond his creative work, Bader has been an outspoken advocate for families navigating Alzheimer’s disease. He served as a caregiver for his father, who was diagnosed with the disease in 2013 and passed away in 2016. He now lends his voice—and empathy—as an Alzheimer’s Association Celebrity Champion. In 2024, he joined the Association’s “Generation Hope” campaign, encouraging public support and awareness, emphasizing hope and relentless commitment in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
