Denzel Curry

Denzel Curry, a rapper recognized as one of the pioneers of the SoundCloud rap genre, started his career in 2011 with the release of his mixtape "King Remembered Underground Tape 1991–1995." He has since released numerous critically acclaimed albums, including "Nostalgic 64," "Imperial," "Ta13oo," "Zuu," and "Melt My Eyez See Your Future". Some of his notable singles include "Ultimate," which has amassed over 200 million streams on Spotify, and "Clout Cobain." In 2016, Curry was featured in XXL magazine's Freshman Class, and his participation in the 'freshman cypher' resulted in over 221 million views on YouTube.

Curry's ability to consistently deliver energetic performances is showcased not only in his discography but also in his television appearances. He made his television debut on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" in 2019 and has since returned to perform a medley of "Ricky" and "Wish" from his album "Zuu" as well as his single "Walkin." He also performed a cover of "Bulls on Parade" by Rage Against the Machine, which placed 5th in the Triple J Hottest 100 countdown. Curry's collaborations also extend to other artists, as seen in his EP with Kenny Beats titled "Unlocked," which included an animated short film. His music has been featured in the FX Network's "The Choe Show" and the Netflix series "Arcane."

Aside from his music career, Curry has also been involved in activism. In 2022, he joined the Musicians For Palestine pledge, refusing to perform in Israel following the 2021 Israel–Palestine crisis. He also signed an open letter in 2023, calling for a ceasefire in the Gaza war and an end to the blockade of the Gaza Strip.
