Daphne Guinness

Daphne Guinness is a British-Irish fashion designer, model, musician, actress, film producer, and philanthropist known for her diverse contributions to the fashion, music, and film industries. Guinness has appeared on the covers of international editions of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Tatler, and Zoo Magazine, and has contributed articles to publications including Vogue, Financial Times, The Times of London, and Harper's Bazaar. She has been recognized on the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame and included in Tatler's top 10 best-dressed list.

As a model and designer, Guinness has collaborated with prominent figures in the fashion industry, including Alexander McQueen, Karl Lagerfeld, David LaChapelle, Steven Klein, Nick Knight, and Comme des Garçons. She created the fragrance "Daphne" for Comme des Garçons and launched a makeup line with MAC Cosmetics. Guinness curated an exhibition at the Fashion Institute of Technology featuring more than 100 contemporary pieces from her personal couture collection, including works by Alexander McQueen, Chanel, and Valentino.

Guinness has demonstrated a commitment to fashion history through her acquisition of Isabella Blow's fashion collection and the establishment of The Isabella Blow Foundation, which provides scholarships for MA fashion students at Central Saint Martins. She also launched The Hon Daphne Guinness Support Programme, supporting emerging designers at Central Saint Martins. In film, Guinness produced the Oscar-nominated short film "Cashback," directed the fashion film "Phenomenology of Body" for her FIT exhibition, and appeared in films such as "The Murder of Jean Seberg" and "Shakki."

In music, Guinness is classically trained and began songwriting as a form of personal expression. Her debut album, produced by Tony Visconti, blends '60s psychedelia and '70s glam rock, exploring themes of glamour, melancholy, identity, and loss. She has released four albums: "Optimist in Black," "Daphne & the Golden Chord," "Revelations," and "Sleep." Guinness founded the record label Agent Anonyme Recordings, supporting innovative artists in music, pop, art, and performance.

Guinness's relationship with Isabella Blow is highlighted in the biopic "The Queen of Fashion," directed by Alex Marx, with Andrea Riseborough portraying Blow and Stacy Martin portraying Guinness. She contributed pieces from her couture archive to the production. Guinness continues to work as an artist, curator, collaborator, and mentor, with an ongoing influence in fashion, music, and film.
