Danny Boome

As star of the Food Network's hit show Rescue Chef, Danny Boome is a superhero in the kitchen, able to solve any kitchen crisis while pleasing the pickiest of eaters. Incredibly charismatic and energetic, Boome provides practical eating advice for aspiring cooks of any skill level. A strong believer that a healthy meal enhances both body and mind, his handy tips are designed to provide essential nutrition on the go.

Boome developed a passion for cooking while working as an au pair in Switzerland. From there he would travel the world perfecting his craft, including training at both the West Wind Inn in Canada and the Grange Cookery School in his native England. Boome's love for fusion cooking was ignited by his first chef position at the fashionable Asia de Cuba restaurant in St. Martins Lane London Hotel. Never satisfied with his culinary education and driven by a desire to inspire everyday cooks, he continued exploring North America and Europe learning about the origins of food and drink.

Boome's natural charm led him to a career in television, first hosting Wild and Fresh in Canada, where he traveled the country on a quest to discover, sample, and critique its best dishes. His 2006 series Coastal Kitchen, along with appearances as a judge on UKTV Food's Local Food Heroes, solidified him as an international culinary superstar. Currently, Boome is a resident Chew Crew correspondent on the ABC daytime lifestyle show The Chew, where he covers events and dishes on new and exciting food trends.

An advocate for educating children, parents, and teachers on healthy eating, Boome also promotes the importance of understanding how food arrives at our kitchen table. Now a sensation in the US, he has become known for his dynamic and engaging approach to all things food and continues to help audiences build culinary confidence. His goal? "To change the way people look at cookery. It's about practice, confidence and fun."
