Daniel Flynn

Daniel Flynn is the co-founder and managing director of Thankyou, a prominent Australian social enterprise focused on addressing global poverty through consumer products. Flynn launched Thankyou Water alongside Jarryd Burns and Justine Flynn, aiming to direct 100 percent of profits toward ending extreme poverty. The enterprise has expanded from bottled water to include body care, food, and baby products, raising over $19 million for impact partners in more than 22 countries.

Flynn led Thankyou through significant challenges, including initial rejections from major retailers. The company gained shelf space at 7-Eleven, Coles, and Woolworths through innovative social media campaigns, such as flying helicopters over supermarket headquarters with large banners. These strategies established Thankyou as a disruptor in the consumer goods sector and contributed to its position as the leading hand-wash brand in Australia for five years.

Flynn is also recognized for his work as an author and public speaker. He wrote the best-selling book "Chapter One," which details the startup journey of Thankyou and was published with a pay-what-you-want pricing model. The book has sold over 93,000 copies globally. Flynn's international profile grew following an interview with former U.S. President Barack Obama, highlighting Thankyou's global ambitions.
