Dan Clancy

Dan Clancy, currently holding the position of Chief Executive Officer at Twitch since March 2023, has a rich background in leadership roles within the tech industry. Prior to his tenure at Twitch, Clancy was involved with several tech giants, including NASA, Google, and Nextdoor. His role at NASA included the position as Director of the Exploration Technologies Directorate, where he was instrumental in planning missions to the Moon and Mars. His career journey then led him to Google, where he served as the Engineering Director for Google Book Search and managed engineering for various Google search properties, including YouTube. During his time working on Google's book project, he aided in the development of a system for large-scale machine learning named "Sibyl." His leadership journey continued at Nextdoor, where he held the position of Vice President of Product and Engineering.

During his time as CEO at Twitch, Clancy has introduced significant changes to the platform. Notably, he adjusted the subscription revenue split for streamers.
