David Muñoz, also known as Dabiz Muñoz, is Spain’s most groundbreaking and avant-garde chef, famous for his creativity in the kitchen and his skill in blending diverse culinary traditions. Owner of the renowned DiverXo restaurant, which boasts three Michelin stars, Muñoz has revolutionized the culinary world with his provocative and innovative style. Muñoz opened DiverXo in 2007 in a small location in Madrid’s Tetuán neighborhood. In 2008, he was named Best New Chef at Madrid Fusión, and in 2009, after moving DiverXo to a larger space, he earned his first Michelin star. His innovative vision continued to bring accolades, and in 2013, at only 33 years old, he was awarded his third Michelin star, establishing DiverXo as a global culinary landmark. Muñoz also launched a second restaurant, StreetXo, which offers a high-quality “street food” concept at a more accessible price, and in 2016 he expanded this venture internationally with a location in London. That same year, he debuted the docu-reality show “El Xef,” showcasing his creative process and the challenges of bringing his culinary vision to the world.
