Christopher Anne Robinson-Easley

Dr. Christopher Anne Robinson-Easley is the CEO of Enlightening Management Consultants Inc., bringing decades of experience at the intersection of organizational leadership, higher education and change management. Her career spans more than 20 years in senior management and leadership roles in the corporate sector, along with 22 years in higher education, where she served as a tenured faculty member and was promoted to the rank of full professor of management. In addition to her academic work, she held senior administrative roles at the director, dean and vice president levels. She has also worked continuously as a change management consultant since the early 1990s, advising organizations on leadership, workforce development and systemic transformation.

Robinson-Easley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and a Master of Science degree in industrial relations from Loyola University Chicago, followed by a doctorate in organization development from Benedictine University. Her research and consulting work have been presented throughout the United States and Europe, as well as in the French West Indies, where she has also taught intercultural management. Her professional focus reflects a long-standing commitment to understanding how culture, power, ethics and leadership intersect within organizations and communities across national and global contexts.

Her scholarship on youth and gang intervention remains widely regarded as forward-looking. Her first book, “Our Children…Our Responsibilities: Saving the Youth We Are Losing to Gangs,” published in 2012, examines structural, social and institutional failures contributing to youth violence and outlines intervention strategies that continue to inform practitioners and researchers. The book is housed in university and public libraries nationally and internationally, including the FBI library in Quantico.

Robinson-Easley’s work on workforce equity and access is further reflected in her second book, “Preparing for Today’s Global Job Market: From the Lens of Color,” released in 2013. The book addresses disparities in employment readiness and opportunity within a globalized economy, drawing on her more than 30 years of experience providing job-readiness and workforce development training. Her third book, “Beyond Diversity and Intercultural Management,” published in 2014, challenges conventional approaches to diversity, intercultural management and organizational change. In it, she argues that equal employment opportunity, diversity and intercultural management are not separate concepts, but part of a single continuum that requires shared competencies and a fundamental shift away from a managerial mindset toward what she describes as valuing humanity.

Extending this work, Robinson-Easley’s fourth book, “Leadership for Global Systemic Change: Beyond Ethics and Social Responsibility,” published in 2016, examines the role of organizations, corporations and governments in driving meaningful systemic change. She contends that while institutions possess the resources to address global challenges, they often fail to implement change strategies capable of strengthening the social fabric. The book presents a comprehensive change model that builds on global frameworks such as the United Nations Global Compact and emphasizes the active participation of corporate leaders, governments, civil society and affected communities. Across her scholarship, consulting and leadership, Robinson-Easley continues to focus on ethical leadership, systemic change and the human dimensions of organizational life.
