Christophe Fouquet

Christophe Fouquet is the president and chief executive officer of ASML, the world’s sole producer of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment essential for the global artificial intelligence and electronics industries.

Fouquet has held leadership roles at KLA Tencor and Applied Materials before joining ASML. At ASML, he led the extreme ultraviolet technology division and served as chief business officer, shaping the company’s strategic direction and technological advancements.

Fouquet’s tenure as CEO includes navigating complex geopolitical challenges, such as U.S.-China trade tensions and export restrictions impacting the semiconductor supply chain. He has publicly advocated for global cooperation, warning that decoupling would be prohibitively expensive and could spur competitors to develop alternatives.
