Christine Duffy

As the first female president of Carnival Cruise Line -- the flagship brand of Carnival Corp. and the world’s largest leisure travel company -- Christine Duffy leads a fleet of 30 ships, sailing over six million guests annually and employing 51,000+ people from 120 nations. She has served in this role since 2015 after a successful tenure as President and CEO of the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), which represents the $120 billion global cruise industry.

Under Duffy's leadership, Carnival was the first major U.S. cruise line to have its entire fleet back in operations after the industry-wide pause related to the pandemic. She spearheads the development of Celebration Key, Carnival’s exclusive destination in The Bahamas, and has helped introduce eight ships to Carnival’s fleet.

Prior to CLIA, Duffy was President and CEO of Maritz Travel Company, the world’s largest corporate meeting, events and incentive travel company.

Duffy served as chair of the U.S. Travel Association and was recently re-appointed to the United States Travel and Tourism Advisory Board. She received CLIA’s Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to the cruise industry. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Aimbridge Hospitality and Herschend Family Entertainment, the nation’s largest family-owned operator of themed attractions. She sits on the Professional Advisory Board of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital of which Carnival is the official celebration partner.

A strong supporter of women’s leadership in the travel industry, Duffy, a Forbes 50 Over 50 listee, has led initiatives that delivered research and programs to help women advance their careers.
