Chip Caray

Harry Christopher "Chip" Caray III is an American television broadcaster known for his play-by-play coverage of St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Caray is the son of broadcaster Skip Caray and the grandson of Hall of Fame broadcaster Harry Caray, representing the third generation of the Caray family to serve as a play-by-play announcer. The Caray family's legacy in sports broadcasting was notably highlighted when Harry, Skip, and Chip Caray shared the microphone during a Braves and Cubs game at Wrigley Field, underscoring their enduring influence on Major League Baseball.

Caray graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism. Early in his career, he worked with local television stations in Panama City, Florida, and Greensboro, North Carolina. His broadcasting experience spans multiple sports, including nine seasons as the television play-by-play voice for the Orlando Magic and coverage of University of Florida and Florida State University football and basketball for Sunshine Network. Caray also called baseball games for the Seattle Mariners before joining the FOX Network, where he contributed to Saturday baseball coverage and served as a studio host.

Caray was hired to work alongside his grandfather as a broadcaster for the Chicago Cubs. Following Harry Caray's passing, Chip Caray became the team's primary announcer for seven seasons and was recognized as Illinois Sportscaster of the Year. He later joined the Atlanta Braves as the television play-by-play voice, a role he held for nearly two decades, further establishing his reputation in baseball broadcasting.

Caray assumed the role of television play-by-play announcer for the St. Louis Cardinals, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, who broadcast Cardinals games for more than two decades.
