Chef Richard Rosado

Richard Rosado, known professionally as Chef Rich, has developed a career at the intersection of culinary arts, health advocacy, and public service. A former United States Marine and graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Rosado combines discipline and culinary expertise in his work. His experience in the Marine Corps, with a focus on physical health, informed his culinary pursuits and was further enhanced by a master's degree in education emphasizing healthy eating and the impact of food on health.

Rosado has served as a chef instructor at Le Cordon Bleu, teaching courses in culinary arts, baking, and pastry. With more than 20 years of experience, he has worked as a personal chef for entertainers, business leaders, and professional athletes, including NBA All-Star Grant Hill. He has also served former First Lady Michelle Obama. As corporate chef for Thermador, Bosch, and Gaggenau, Rosado conducted cooking demonstrations across the East Coast.

Rosado is the CEO and creator of the 1PL8 Health and Wellness system and the 1PL8 C.P.C. (Culinary Preventative Care) Disease Management Program. He developed the first Culinary Health and Wellness program, a comprehensive disease management initiative designed to help individuals make behavioral changes through food for improved health and lifestyle. As an educator and expert in healthy cooking, Rosado has led cooking classes for major hospitals and organizations, including Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital, Florida Hospital, UF Health Cancer Center, Florida Diabetes Center, and the City of Orlando.

Rosado hosts "1PL8 Kitchen," a 30-minute healthy cooking television show airing on TCT Network. He is the author of the book "Food is Our Greatest Medicine," which explores the relationship between food and health. Rosado has conducted thousands of cooking demonstrations and headlined live cooking shows nationwide, including events in Scottsbluff, Nebraska; Let's Cook Seattle; Let's Cook Orlando; and the Daytona Home Show. He has contributed to Healthy Living Magazine and Orlando Family Magazine. Through television, books, live events, and speaking engagements, Rosado promotes the concept of food as medicine and encourages the adoption of healthy habits.
