Chase Neely

Chase Neely is a Nashville-based intellectual property, entertainment, and corporate attorney whose practice operates at the intersection of law, business, and creativity. Neely advises Grammy Award-winning songwriters, producers, New York Times bestselling authors, and other creative professionals on navigating the relationship between their business interests and artistic pursuits. His client roster includes entrepreneurs, technology start-ups, book and music publishing companies, artist and author management companies, recording artists, songwriters, athletes, actors, and authors.

Neely graduated from Baylor University School of Law, earning a J.D. with a specialty in business transactions, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution, and completed his undergraduate studies at Belmont University.

Neely has founded three companies, including his own law firm, Kirkwood Business Management, a tax strategy and preparation firm for creative professionals, and Leverage Brands, where he serves as president and assists clients with brand strategy and sales funnel development. His firm, Chase Neely PC, acquired TMBTQ Trademark Law Boutique, expanding his creator-focused business affairs and entertainment law practice to serve artists, authors, producers, creative companies, and growth-stage businesses. This combination broadens creator-focused legal services across entertainment, corporate, and federal trademark and copyright matters, providing clients with comprehensive coverage from startup through scale.

Neely is also an educator and thought leader in intellectual property and entertainment law. He developed and taught the inaugural copyright and publishing law class for the Belmont Publishing Major and co-authored "Every Step Counts: Your Guide to the Challenging Path of Marketing a Book," a resource for authors in the publishing industry. Neely has served as a startup mentor at the SXSW innovation and entertainment conference and as a presenter on business selling at TRTCLE. He has been recognized by his peers and selected to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list, an honor based on an evaluation of indicators including peer recognition and professional achievement in legal practice.
