Charles Kelley

Charles Kelley is a co-lead vocalist and founding member of the country music trio Lady A, which was originally formed as Lady Antebellum in 2006. The group, signed to Big Machine Records, has been active in the music industry since its formation and has released numerous hit songs and acclaimed albums.

In addition to his work with Lady A, Kelley has pursued solo endeavors. His 2016 debut solo album, "The Driver," demonstrates a raw sound not commonly heard in his group music. The album's title track, which features Dierks Bentley and Eric Paslay, earned a Grammy nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards.

Throughout his career, Kelley has displayed impressive songwriting skills. He has co-written several songs for other artists, including "Do I" for Luke Bryan, "Love Song" for Miranda Lambert, and "Kiss Me Slowly" for the band Parachute. He also collaborated with Maroon 5 on the song "Out of Goodbyes," which was featured on their album "Hands All Over."

In recent years, Kelley has taken steps to address personal challenges. In 2022, he released the single "As Far As You Could," exploring his struggle with alcohol. This led to Lady A postponing their Request Line Tour to 2023 to allow him to focus on his sobriety.

Despite the hurdles, Kelley's musical talent has been widely recognized. He, along with the rest of Lady A, won several prestigious awards, including a Grammy for Best Country Performance by Duo or Group with Vocals and numerous Country Music Association Awards. As a co-songwriter, he won a Grammy Award for Song of the Year in 2010 for "Need You Now."

Kelley is married to music rep Cassie McConnell. When he's not creating music, he indulges in hobbies like golf and motorcycling.
