Chante Harris

Chante Harris is a climate tech strategist, investor, and entrepreneur focused on accelerating the deployment and financing of climate technologies. Harris has worked at the intersection of climate, urban innovation, technology, and policy, beginning her career in the Obama Administration, where she launched national issue-based and political campaigns in collaboration with the White House, think tanks, public-private partnerships, and elected officials. As a go-to-market strategist, Harris has guided startups and established companies through procurement processes, pilot projects, design challenges, and community impact initiatives.

As an operator, Harris secured and deployed millions of dollars for climate projects and energy-efficient technologies, and built a $10 million climate tech venture studio in the United States supporting global companies in sectors such as mobility, buildings, agriculture, waste, water, materials, and carbon. At SecondMuse, Harris led climate investment and partnerships, sourcing, funding, and scaling early-stage climate tech solutions worldwide. She also led the launch of a global innovation challenge, a summit that provided more than 1,200 startups across 64 countries with resources to scale. Startups supported by her team raised over $25 million in public and private investment, expanded their teams, and negotiated intellectual property licenses with national laboratories.

Following her role as a climate tech strategist with Schmidt Futures, Harris founded Eunoia Group, a derisk-as-a-service studio and investment platform addressing the funding gap for hard climate technologies at the early infrastructure project stage. Harris collaborates with funders and founders to address barriers that prevent startups from scaling into mature companies. She has also advanced citywide and statewide initiatives supporting climate change mitigation and the circular economy through technology deployment and policy development.

In addition to her work in climate tech and investment, Harris launched Women of Color Collective in Sustainability, a global digital community dedicated to advancing women of color in the sustainability industry. The collective has connected more than 5,000 women through events, social media, a hiring platform, and an online publication. Harris serves on the advisory committee for the global Climate Center on Governors Island in New York City and is a board member of Summit Impact.

Harris has been recognized by Forbes in its 30 Under 30 in Energy, by Nasdaq as a Woman to Watch, by ACEEE as a Champion for Energy Efficiency, by GreenBiz as a 30 Under 30 Leader, and by Women Enews as a Pioneering Woman in Sustainability.
