Cecilia Lascialfari

Cecilia Lascialfari is a creative technologist, generative artificial intelligence researcher, and international speaker whose work explores the intersection of art, technology, and immersive media. Lascialfari graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and earned a master's degree in multimedia content design at RAI in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering and Communication Sciences. She works in the Department for Digital Innovation—Multimedia Asset Production Area at a leading Italian publishing house, focusing on videos, audiobooks, research, and AR/VR/XR projects.

Lascialfari's multidisciplinary experience as an artist, photographer, videomaker, community manager, and international journalist has established her as a prominent voice in the European XR and artificial intelligence sectors. As founder of ARea6DoF, an online magazine dedicated to art and technology across XR, AI, AR, and VR, she has created a global platform for dialogue and discovery. She also developed the project "Flying Into The Metaverse Through Books & Culture," a series of interviews with professionals in the XR field, and manages the online journal ARea6DoF.

Her research centers on AI-generated images and copyright, addressing critical issues as generative tools transform creative industries. Lascialfari has been recognized as an AI Top Voice on LinkedIn and serves as the Italian representative for Artivive, an augmented reality platform for art. She organizes AWE Nite Florence, part of the global Augmented World Expo network, and has collaborated with professionals in the XR industry. Her efforts have contributed to the success of the AWE meetup in Florence, which is part of a network spanning more than 20 cities worldwide.

Lascialfari creates works that blend analog and digital art, photography, generative AI, and augmented reality, engaging audiences by integrating human emotion with technology. She is also Lead for Art & Creativity at Women in AI Italy, advocating for inclusive innovation and the role of creativity in shaping the future of artificial intelligence. Lascialfari has received the Women in Tech Community Italy Award and served on the Voting Advisory Committee for the Women in AI Global Innovation Awards in New York. As a speaker at international events such as World Summit AI in Amsterdam, she emphasizes the purposeful integration of art, culture, and technology, demonstrating the importance of knowledge and intention in the use of AI for creative expression.
