Casandra Elizabeth Ventura, known professionally as Cassie, is a singer, dancer, actress, and model recognized for her work in music, film, and fashion. Ventura began her music career after meeting producer Ryan Leslie, who signed her to NextSelection Lifestyle Group. She was later discovered by rapper Sean Combs, who signed her to a joint venture with Bad Boy Records. Her debut single, "Me & U," reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100, and her self-titled debut studio album peaked at number four on the Billboard 200, featuring the follow-up single, "Long Way 2 Go."
